It is my understanding that the new Intel Chips will be VR enabled using the AMD GPU on the chip itself.
The new Hades NUC is VR enabled because of it and it has DUAL Thunderbolt 3 ports.

This will allow a much smaller and more expandable form factor for Streaming on the go.

Prices aren't bad either at $799 & $999 without OS or Hard Drive.
Oh and there are 2(3) M.2 slots but one is half sized and one is already taken by a WIFI card.

When i saw this i was like YES!! but then it's the AMD GPU so i'm curious how well it will scale with vMix. I guess once they hit the streets vMix can test and let us know. Or start making vMix work well with AMD GPU's

Since there have been AMD issues before with vMix I do not have a lot of hope.
I do have hope that Intel will fix what AMD might not have been able too, heheh.

I also agree with you that we will see what is possible once the vMix team can use these new chips with vMix.

Overall this is good news for small form factor if it works.
VR capable in the nVidia line usually is at least a 1050 and they try to recommend bumping to 1050ti or 1060 at least before they really like to put the "VR Ready stamp" on it.
In the vMix Reference line 1060 GPU's are really capable for live production.

If the Intel announcement had said our new CPU's will have a 1050ti on board I would have jumped up and down for joy. Since they said our new CPU's will have AMD VR Ready GPU's I did a half jump and tried to duck at the same time to avoid hitting the ceiling, heheh.
