Martin,
Is there any benefit to be gained by using Nvidia's pro line of Quadro video cards over their Gaming Gforce GFX line ?
Thanks
Ed G.

Hi Ed,

In my experience, the Quadro tend to be around 3x the price of a GeForce with comparable performance.
They include drivers for CAD and rendering applications but nothing extra for vMix to take advantage of.

They also might be a bit more reliable, but GeForce cards from good manufacturers are already rock solid anyway.

Regards,

Martin

Not to hijack the thread, but is there corresponding benefit to vMix in the faster cards within the GeForce line?

For example, the 660 chipset beanchmarks almost twice as fast as 650 per GeForce website - would this provide a similar increase in number of cameras supported?

Safe to assume that all members of the 6xx line are vMix compatable?

Does extra graphics memory above the minimum 1GB help in supporting more cameras / inputs?

Finally, is vMix able to leverage multiple cores well, for example an expected performance boost of a 6 core processor over a 4 core?

Sorry for so many questions, and Thanks!
