Camera control with serial visca commands? HuddleCam joystick controller

I have Vmix 4K and have a chair to keyboard interface problem that repeats intermittently.
I often select the camera I want to reposition to put it in the preview window but forget to select it again on my HuddleCam Joystick controller. This means I go to pan the preview camera but the controller is still controlling the last camera I moved which usually is the live broadcasting camera.
Not a good look.
Looking for a solution where I only have to hit one button to both select a camera for preview and set the controller to the same camera.
This solution could be: another controller to replace mine an adapter that splits the serial cable going to cameras to also go to CPU and have vmix listen for the camera select signal and have it react by previewing that camera or some other solution.
I have been told the delay on an IP based controller is much worse than on serial, and it is already pretty laggy as it is. Maybe that is not true but currently I am using serial.
Maybe there is a controller that has both serial and usb out and I can hook it up to both cameras and software?
does x-keys have a serial/usb hardware solution?
Anyone have any ideas?
thanks

I have seen the ID 10T error before. I think you are on to something. :)

Hi, Brian. You could test drive an X-keys Joystick controller. The only setback is you can't zoom from the stick. You can pan and tilt with the stick, but you have to use keys to zoom. Theoretically, you could program a key to put a camera into preview and then use the vMix PTZ control feature to send commands to the camera in Preview. If you buy any X-keys directly from us, we have a 30 day, no questions asked return policy. I hope that helps. Dan
