Hello,
I have been testing vMix with Flash Media Live Encoder and: 1. two camera sources + picture 2. one camera source
I have tried different inputs: 1. 720 x 576 2. 640 x 480
I have noticed that the video freezes for a milisecond every once in a time (lets say every 20 seconds) as if some frames were dropped. When I checked cpu load, it was below 40% (including FMLE).
Can it be true that vMix drops some frames? What resources are supposedly missing taking into account that cpu is below 40%?
What is the best configuration of vMix for FMLE?
My resources: - laptop i5 560m - avermedia usb - sony cx550 - windows 7 64bit - FMLE 3.2 - vMix latest beta - intel hd graphics
Thanks, any help will be appreciated.

If you are seeing a dropped frame every now and then, make sure the FMLE frame rate is set to match the input frame rate of your devices. This can be tricky in NTSC regions as the frame rate is usually 29.97 which needs to match both in the External Output settings of vMix and the FMLE settings.
The other thing to look at is a machine with dedicated graphics as integrated graphics only offer very basic performance.

I am in PAL region, therefore I use 25 fps everywhere. In vMix I have set "PAL 50i or 25p" in External Output, in Display, and in Source. Sorry, I did not clarify that before
Regarding changing a video card, is this a wild guess or should I go and buy a video card ? :)
Another way to get rid of this problem would be to get rid of unnecessary "video displaying" to require less GPU processing. I changed the Preview Size to the lowest, and the quality of the main windows decreased, but id not change the quality of secondary (smaller) displays. This however did not have any impact on the video freeze/dropping problem.
