I've had this occur a few times now: either while tech checking or broadcasting, while I have 6 vMixCall sessions, I have had the error pop up "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". I know from previous occurrences that, after I click "Close", vMix is going to Crash... so I left the error on screen until the broadcast was over and the stream was stopped... after I told everyone goodnight, I clicked "Close" on the error, and vMix promptly crashed.

Please see the attached error image captures.

I've checked for logs in C:\Program Files (x86)\vMix\streaming but none are present.

Also, here's the resulting video:

Has anyone else experienced the same, and do you have anything I can do to shore up my build to ensure that we don't crash during an event?

Thank you!

Chad

Hi,

Can you send a support report from Settings -> About and drop us an email with the license key and we'll get this sorted.
My guess is something is playing up with the call engine when under heavy load.

Regards,

Martin

Happily... and I found the logs! The doc I found in my search indicated logs would be in [program files/vmix/streaming/, but it appears it's in the folder I selected as the recording location. Please see attached.

Best,

Chad

Just updating the record... looks like Martin & Co. worked a fix into version 20.0.0.46.

Many thanks, team!

Chad
