Hi all, I'm just about to start on re-fitting a small outside broadcast van with Vmix replacing the existing Broadcast Pix System.
I have already removed the large Broadcast PIX control surface and I'm looking to replace it with something to drive Vmix.
I aware of all the various MIDI / X-keys controllers out there but my client is asking for something a bit more like a traditional vision mixer surface
so far my options are
1) Try and buy one of the now discontinued "official" vmix control surfaces
2)Buy something from skaarhoj.com
3)Buy an old vision mixer off eBay and Hack it with an Arduino to make it send MIDI
can anyone think of any other surfaces that might work?
Martin - Is there any thoughts on supporting either the Proton or ion from jlcooper.com - I spoke to them back at IBC and they said they cant see why either won't work if support for them were added to vmix
cheers
IAn

Ian is it the size, look or both that the client isn't happy with?
If it's just the look what about buying the X-Keys and an old vision mixer off ebay and grafting the guts of the X-Keys controller to the vision mixer?

This company re-purposes GVG 100 panels for use with ATEM, Baz may be able to help - http://www.lefflerpost.com.au/gvg2atem/The 100 and the now rare GVG 200 2me panels have a simple rs422 interface.
