Hi!

Which version of Titler Live is usable for the new NDI control via vMix? Is it "Titler Live Broadcast 3" for 2500 $ or is there a cheaper alternative...?

Regards
Seb

Martin said in the vMix 20 announcement thread that the lower cost versions would be out in a couple of weeks.

I have an eval version of Broadcast that I would like to test with. Anyone know if there is any documentation available for the NDI commands that need to be sent?

NewBlueFX Titler commands are listed at the bottom of this link, but they are for TriCaster's macro system. Not sure how you enter them into vMix.

In vMix, when the NDI input detects Titler Live 3.0 you will see new options in the right click menu for that input.
Under the Commands menu are the options you can use to control Titler Live, and you can also use the options there with the shortcut function NDICommand

Martin and team, having run some tests I just want to thank you for adding this feature, and especially the ability to control titles with the normal vMix triggers. This makes it spectacularly powerful because I can automate a lot and don't need have someone dedicated to managing titles.

When I spoke to NewBlueFX about automation/remote control they said they would look at that in the future but no time scales mentioned. So fantastic once again and keeps vMix well ahead of the competition.

I already tested the Title Live from NewBlueFX. I am looking for a live titler system for horse shows where I can realize a full automated title system together with vMix.
But unfortunately I realized that the Title Live is not really a live system.
If you change dynamic the text content of a title the Title Live needs to re-render the title. Depedence of the complexity of the title and power of the computer the re-rendering needs time. In my testcases with very simple titles 3 - 10 Seconds. That make a full automated process a little difficult.
A main problems was, what I could watch, if the re-rendering is still in process you can already show the title with urgly results. It will be better the Title Live shows the rerendered title only after the re-rendering process is finished and not already before.

It was a very first experience with the Titler Live. Perhaps there are a way to handle this in a good way.

The inbuild title in vMix is against that a real live titler.

Can you guys do a tutorial on this. There's no documentation or clear explanation anywhere on this feature.

That's pretty much all there is to it. Step by step it would be:

1. Install Titler 3.0 and activate its NDI output
2. Add that into vMix, if it detects the correct version you will see new menu options when right clicking the input.
3. See the different animation options under the Commands menu, copy the text of these exactly into the "NDICommand" function
to assign them to shortcuts.

The commands that appear in the menu are the macros that can be called with the shortcuts.

In addition to that the input works just like a vMix Title input as well, there is a Title Editor
menu option and datasources and title related shortcuts work as well.

Ok, I got the animation working.

Should I see title editing here?

Can you confirm the version of NewBlue Titler installed?
It will show the title editing options if it detects title templates with text data in the current Titler PlayList, but it may not do this with older versions.

Hi,

I have investigated further and it looks like a recent Titler Live update changed the way the Titler API works.
The issue has been escalated to the NewBlue team so I hope they can release a fix shortly.

Any news on the fix? I just tried with NewBlueFX Titler Live Present 3.0.171013. There is no Editor when right-clicking the NDI Input in vMix. And the commands seems to do nothing, although the reason might be that I don't know how top operate ;)
In any case - looks promising :)
Thanks.

Looking forward to an update, as I still need to figure out a workflow on how I am going to use Titler Broadcast 3 via NDI in vMix.

I can't find any such options in a NDI Input from a Titler Live.
