I am sorry if this has been asked. I am wanting to LIVE streaming on YouTube and FB at the same time, and know that this can be done.

I setup the streaming, as two separate identities and entered a YouTube streaming code. When starting it shows "Streaming to other providers is not permitted when sing the FB destination. Please disable the YouTube Live destination and try again." At the message screen it says "Streaming.Start".

Facebook does not allow parallel use of their API and streaming to other destinations. You can send parallel streams using a scheduled live stream on Facebook, which gives you RTMP credentials and you can setup your Facebook stream as a standard RTMP stream.

And yes: this has been discussed already in the forum.

Use vMix's Streaming Settings for Custom RTMP server as described in this video...

Here's a great general overview of streaming from Tim @ vMix...

He's got a whole series called "Getting Started with vMix" that's a great place to start your vMix education...

Good luck!

- Tom

If it helps here is what we do:

Stream Service 1 Choose "YouTube Live"
1. Log into YouTube through Vmix
2. From your YouTube channel copy and past your stream key into vMix
3. We are using 1280x720 30 Frames for input size
4. Quality for us is set to: H264 720P 2.5mbs AAC 192kbps
5. Application is FFMPEG

Stream Service 2 you initially choose Facebook for destination
1. Resolution is the same as YouTube
2. Click on FB Settings
3. Log into FB through vMix
4. Type your title and description
5. choose location on where you want to share to
6. choose your privacy settings
7. click standard stream
8. check off automatically end stream
9. Click create stream and then save and close

Now re-open stream settings
1. Click On the 2nd stream you used for FB
2. Click the destination drop down and now choose RTMP
3. (It will automatically carry over your FB settings into the RTMP stream.
4. Click save and close and when you are ready to stream hit the stream button and you will stream simultaneously to FB and YouTube.

restream.io or switchboard.live are great services that allow you to stream to multiple sites at the same time. I'm a fan of restream, because it's cheap and allows to individually turn streams on and off.

After a couple of weeks struggling to get both Facebook and YouTube streaming to work at the same time, we finally have a working scenario.

We follow the instructions of setting up the YouTube stream first (YouTube Live Stream Now) and then the Facebook stream (Facebook). And then we switch the Facebook stream to RTMP (Custom RTMP Server) after closing and reopening the stream.

The following week we will go into the Facebook Custom RTMP Server stream and switch it back to the "Facebook" stream, save and close, reopen stream and switch the Facebook stream back to Custom RTMP Server.

This will reset and refresh the Facebook streaming key and get it working.

Both will stream successfully now.

We'll have to do this every time we stream both, for us, on a weekly basis on Sunday.
