Replay timeline with clips visible on timeline

Hi vMixers,

I propose that the replay timeline get clip marking, meaning that each clip is represented with a line on the timeline. The the line should be the width of the "length" of the clip, meaning that a long clip is represented wider than a short clip.

See attached image for more visual presentation of proposed feature.

EDIT: Perhaps it should also be possible to hover the clip on the timeline, then get a tooltip with the defined name of the clip, allowing easy browsing the clips on the timeline.

Mmmm. For productions longer than 4 hours that'd be a UX nightmare (too many markers).

Maybe the timeline should be scalable and scrollable? A configuration to set how much the on-screen timeline represents and it scrolls with the current position? In general all the timelines in VMIX could use some visual upgrade to make them clearer.

I think it is harder to manage the timeline if you are allowed to zoom/scroll to adjust the scope, I like the fixed "total timeline".

But, in case you have such a long event, e.g. consisting of several matches/sub events, you could use the event banks, and the idea of the timeline is that it will only show the clips from the current bank. In this case, it will be easier to manage. :-)

I'd need 20 banks then :D

Replay workflows can be very different depending on the sport. A surfing competition, for example can be around 40h worth of content, with 72 different heats. I can't use a folder per heat, so I use a folder per round, but rounds can be long too (8-10 hours of action).

Having markers is great (specially if you could map some tags to different marker icons) but for that to work in longer productions, a configurable timeline could be very useful.
