The not so top end Alienware Aurora desktop comes with the following:
i7-7700K processor 16 GB DDR4 at 2400 MHz, upgradeable in size and speed to 2667 MHz 460W PS, upgradeable to 850W Windows Home, upgradeable to Pro Video card single or dual (single default) NVidia GeForce GTX 1080, 8 GB GDDR5X, upgradeable to 11 GB Ti version of same card 256 GB SSD boot drive plus 1 TB 7200 RPM SATA (several upgrades, including 512GB and 1TB SSD boot drive upgrades)
Anybody have any experience with this system? Looks like if you upgrade the PS, Memory and boot drive, and add in the BMD eight input card you have pretty much the Ruby specs.
(We currently use a small form factor Alienware PC to run vMix, attached to a BlackMagic Design switcher as our only vMix system, but it is getting a bit aged, and we want to be able to to instant replay on up to 4 cams.)
