+10 here. Been looking for ways to color balance cameras in vMix and or color grade the program output.

+1
This feature should be default in vMix and most live streaming productions.

I'm more and more convinced that we really need this. Already gave my +1, but I would like to add, that since there are more and more Facebook groups now about livestreaming, one common aspect of almost all videos posted by vmix users in those groups, is that colors don't match perfectly. I like the x-rite idea, but if we would have the most important controls from resolve/premiere/.. already and would be able to adjust stuff manually, I would already be happy.
Perhaps the best solution, is to have those controls, and let them save a LUT to threat the signal before it enters vmix. Every time you change parameters, a new LUT is saved. Even if it would cost me a lot, and only work on those corvid cards with their 1d LUTS, I would really consider it, because whatever we try, we can never make a 100% perfect looking broadcast with vmix without a possibility to shade.
X rite would be a nice go-in-between, but if you visit any high end broadcast truck, you will see people are constantly shading their signals because lights, environments and weather conditions change constantly. Manual controls should be the end goal I think.

I did another load test, this time using my GTX 680 / i7 3930 6 core machine and using Resolve with a 3D lut playing back 1080p25 in realtime. ......... GPU usage ..... CPU usage no lut ... 35-37% ......... 16% lut ........ 35-39% ......... 17% Not a lot of power required considering the age of the hardware but you could assume that higher end hardware would be needed. vMix could also dynamically enable luts when the source is on program, externals or PV. While vMix correcting an Xrite card or more grading controls would be ideal simply being able to switch between many luts would be a great start. Initial presets could be supplied but the user could replace the luts 1-45 pointed to by these buttons with their owm custom versions to correct their cameras eg Gopro, Iphone. Several variants of each could be made for different lighting conditions. Button labels could be updated by loading a new jpeg overlay. You could still use the Xrite card reference but Resolve would need to make the lut. Exporting a lut in the free Resolve is easy, just right click the shot icon. Luts can be made from a live BMD capture card source, file or a still. You can also split screen the camera your matching to a reference camera.

I use Vegas Movie Studio for some of my post production editing. It has a camera color matching video effect. You select a source frame from one camera and a target frame from another camera and the video effect calculates the required settings to match the target colors to the source. I'm not a video professional by any means, but it appears to work pretty well and is very easy to do quickly. I could have used this recently when I had a mix of my own cameras and some from the onsite stadium video system. Cutting between the 2 sets of cameras, it was easy to see the color differences. Unfortunately, I didn't notice it until the game began and didn't have time to even try to make some change.

+1 OBS that support 3DLut from png file Waiting Vmix, just need support 3Dlut for each input, I can balance color from many different camera source with 3Dlut Creator and Xrite colorchecker before
This will make many source have different CMOS have the same color input to vmix, don't care what camera you use, because each input use different 3Dlut to match the Xrite color, with 3Dlut creator we can create .cube to match in 10s
Someone think that use same 3Dlut for all camera, no, it stupid

Hi Here's what the new Adobe Premiere offers so far as color matching in its new Creative Cloud release yesterday. And it's for color matching in post -- not live. But still interesting. and I include this with the knowlege that this is probably not a solution for this thread. But thought I'd include it. And of course it will be demoed at NAB this coming week. +861 for that, I will add also to allow dynamically load LUTS from REST/TCP api or/and select loaded luts from right click on input (to quick change light conditions)
Unfortunately LUT converters or video assists cost a lot of hundreds dollars/euros and it's expensive if you need only lut feature.
To create a LUT it's very easy with free Resolve Live Capture without the need to copy and import files from camera. Also it's possible with the power of Resolve to create personal adjustments on color correction before export 3D LUT file.
P.S. 861 = days between last post and today, tomorrow will be +862 etc until the day I will see this feature.

Yes please! This would be a great improvement! You could color match different cameras in seconds with an X-rite, or make your detailed LUT with specialized software as 3D LUT creator!
I’d love to see this!
