I'm trying to get a trap stream from a Bosch IP camera. Video is no problem, that works great. But even if I add the correct syntax for audio, there is no audio in VMIX.
If I try the exact same syntax in for example VLC there is audio.
Are there any tips how I can get the audio through RTSP ?
URL according to Bosch manual: RTSP://160.10.0.40/?enableaudio=1&audio_line=1
Thanks Jan-Paul

IP cameras often use codecs like G.711, which are from the telephony world. Perhaps vMix doesn't have the audio codec to decode the audio stream?
While watching/hearing the stream in VLC check the media properties to determine the codec used.
In fact, have you tried the VLC based stream receiver. It may play the audio where the normal RTSP tool does not.

Thank you both for the replies, but unfortunately the vlc type stream requires 64 bit version.
my vmix machine is only 32 bit, so no way of testing it that way.
any other suggestions ?

- Install NDI plugin for VLC from Newtek, - Get your stream in VLC, - Then get it in vMix as a NDI feed
Guillaume
PS : if it doesn't support 32 bit, you can do this on another computer

Got my hands on a 64 bit demo vMix. Added the stream as VLC type and the audio works directly !! Had to auto install the vlcforvMix and it does exactly what I want.
Thanks for the hints.
