Hello,

Wondering if there are any limits to how long a call can be in place?

For instance on Skype it seems to be approximately 4 hours.

I have a 9 hour event coming up, looking at moving from Skype to Vmix Call for the first time. So appreciate tips for long calls.

Thanks.

I know the Skype fair use policy is four hours per call, but my understanding that is only when doing group calls. If a single person in a group call goes over four hours, they will be dropped to audio only.

When you do a one to one call, there isn't a limit that I'm aware of. I know that on our TalkShow product I've had calls connected for well over four hours without issue.

There's nothing inherent in WebRTC that limits call duration. It would have to be built in at the application layer, which means that Martin & Co would have had to craft it.

I doubt there's any limit at all.
