Every time I try to record with vMix 20.0.0.27 I get this error. I do not get this error when using vMix 20.0.0.20. Thanks GeorgeR attached the following image(s): Record Error.PNG (9kb) downloaded 5 time(s).You cannot view/download attachments. Try to login or register.

Works fine here. Have you checked where it is recording to? Try setting the record location to a different folder on your system and see if the issue is replicated.

Hi George,
This error is from Windows saying that the Filename specified in the recording settings is pointing to a folder that is read only. This might be accidentally specifying the DVD drive in the computer or something like that.
Double check it to make sure, or reply here with the full path that it mentions in the Filename box.
Regards,
Martin vMix

Regards,
Martin vMix Martin, no I can use that drive for other things like storing pictures, etc. I can also use that drive to record with vMix 20.0.0.20 without any issues. ~George

Got vMix 20.0.0.27 working now. What I did was to remove vMix entirely from my PC including the vMix folder that was nested under C drive. I reinstalled vMix 20.0.0.27 on my PC and was able to record videos just fine. Thanks to everyone who tried to help me.

Sometimes all you need to do is delete the vMix folder on the C: drive...vMix replaces it.
