We're still in the trial of Vmix before we buy it for our church. Today, I switch the base frame rate from 30p to 60p to test latency between the two. when it started back up Vmix crashed then it eventually locks the whole computer up. Is there a way to change this setting back outside of vmix from the registry or a config file? I'm not seeing it.

If you keep getting a lock-up when trying to start vMix, go to the 'TEMP' folder, and delete all vMix files, and if that does not work, do a reinstall

Hi, A lockup is most likely hardware related, and possible the capture card or your graphics card. See our supported hardware page to make sure you have a decent NVIDIA graphics card if trying 60p: https://www.vmix.com/sof.../supported-hardware.aspxRegards, Martin vMix

It's got a Nvidia 1050 ti, 16GB ram, Windows 10 64bit

Joeboe wrote:If you keep getting a lock-up when trying to start vMix, go to the 'TEMP' folder, and delete all vMix files, and if that does not work, do a reinstall I don't see anything under C:\windows\temp. I deleted the vmix configs and last config out of appdata but it still does the same, so I guess it's a reinstall. Edit: Re-installed and even was able to load my last config with no issues.. Makes no sense but, hey it works! Event logs show vMix crashing along with DWM.exe crashing with Error code: : 0x80070057

It makes sense....you see, sometimes windows updates corrupts some applications, and due to hardware/software combinations, it is a common thing.....There is another thing, but I can not remember off hand what to do, but it happens to me with Edius and a few other programs, that is why I do not do updates unless it is important.....

vMix makes heavy use of the graphics card, so if there is a fault there it can cause problems. Try the latest drivers and see if that helps. DWM also crashing indicates it is a graphics card issue as that is also involved in the rendering of window elements.

It was Teamviewer's graphics driver causing the crash.
