New version of NDI® Tools for Windows is available. The big enhancement is 'NDI Studio Monitor' which offers audio meters, alpha channel support, on screen graticules and the ability to force low bandwidth mode among other new features. https://www.newtek.com/ndi/tools/Kane Peterson NewTek

NDI Camera stream uses 32mb/s , not announced 10, does it need to upgrade? NDI Access manager doesn't open. I tried several times.

You are talking about NDI Camera for iPhone/Android? That is NDI (not NDI-NX), so it will be using higher bandwidth. I'm not sure if iPhone or Android devices have what is needed to create NDI-HX, it does require specific hardware capabilities.
I just tried Access Manager and am having the same issue. I'll bug it. Thanks.

NDI v3.0 adds support for NDI-HX, but doesn't change how existing software works, so if an app sends video data via regular NDI compression then that's now it will continue to work. But now there's an opportunity for developers to support NDI-HX as well (if they choose to do so). And the NDI v3.0 Tools, like the Studio Monitor, will display low-bitrate NDI-HX encoded video as well as regular higher-bitrate NDI streams.

NDI® 3.0 supports NDI|HX, but will not change how any existing applications send NDI. As I understand NDI|HX is designed for hardware devices, you will not see software sending it, but it will receive it. By the way, the NDI® SDK 3.0 was just released today as well. NDI 3.0 is a really exciting update - Multicast, new NDI Studio Monitor, easy device configuration and accurate timing across devices just to highlight a few really useful features!
BirdDog will fully support NDI 3.0 in terms of all the protocol features applicable to a camera mountable device. We won’t at this stage be supporting NDI HX, rather we produce higher-bitrate, lower compression, ultra low latency NDI. We will be rolling out the new NDI 3.0 features over our next few firmware updates during August and September.
NDI 3.0 adds a lot of capabilities that go way beyond what is currently being used in a production IP workflow and over the coming months there will be some really exciting new workflows become apparent.

Kane Peterson NewTek Hi Kane, any changes to Connect software with release of the NDI 3?

alexandrelinhares1 wrote:Hi Kane, any changes to Connect software with release of the NDI 3? No new Connect has been released yet, but I could expect when the next version is out you will have the NDI® 3 features like the ability to do multicast streams. However, to take advantage of multicast correctly you need a switch that supports IGMP snooping so that your entire network doesn't become flooded with traffic.

I tried 1080p/25 transfer from vMix to Studio Monitor on laptop, by 1Gb switch and it is about 20Mb/s . It's 5 times less then before, but still twice more than announced 10. Picture is awesome, delay unseen, audio is perfect.

vMix is not sending NDI HX, nor using NDI 3.0, so i wonder how did you obtain 20 mbps... Was the video not complicated, static...?

Now, with vMix 20 it's better - video is 5-12 Mbs. Great !
