Today it happened again, vMix was using my laptop's built in graphics instead of the Nvidia card. Probably a driver/windows update that removed the setting in Nvidia's control panel to use it for vMix.

Not sure how to implement this, but I would like to get a warning at startup/settings-import if the graphics adapter in use is not what I have previously selected in the setting.

Hi Richard. I use this from the nVidia Control Panel, “Display GPU Activity in the Notification Area” for this reason.

Hope this helps in some way. Cheers.

Thanks, BETech. But that's easy to miss too.
Compare if Input Camera or Audio devices are missing, then you get an "Offline" indication. But if the wrong graphics adapter is in use, everything looks normal, until you get a load and then it might be too late...

I agree with Richard.

It's very easy to miss when it happens, and it's a quick road to a FUBAR stream.
Having some sort of "always use this GPU" and then throw an error message at startup would be nice.
