I dont think this is part of your issue.
Have you considered doing a system restore to a happier time?
I am gravitating towards a power supply-- can you go into the bios and check your voltages? EVen if they are correct there it may not reveal the issue -- but if they are off you know thats it....

Perhaps the power supply in your system is beginning to fail. I've see bad PS cause strange problems.
If the HDMI cables check out fine going from camera to monitor for long periods, and you can't find anything wrong with the capture device, and all drivers are up to date, then it's something else. Try what kjones9999 suggested with the system restore to a date prior to the problems. As mentioned previously, check your power supply on your system. If you have a spare or can borrow one (perhaps with more Watts than the existing one), install it to see what happens.

Have you added anything wireless at the time it started happening? I had the exact same problem when I had a cheap chinese walkie-talkie nearby. Only when transmitting with the walkie too close to the computer (within 1 - 2 meters).

So I replaced the power supply this morning after the cameras started flashing again and have the same issue. I brought the cameras in using RTSP and everything is fine. I took one of the HDMI camera feeds and have it plugged directly into one of our spot monitors for PTZ viewing/control and it works fine. So to me it seems like this is not a cable issue, not a computer issue but maybe a BM card issue? Just strange that 2 cards would go at nearly the same time. Any other thoughts?

COULD be a motherboard driver...
I doubt both would exhibit he same behavior unless a driver issue.

Had the same problem figured out that it was due to the speed that the motherboard was giving the BMD. I had to take out all pci/e devices and left in only the BMD and since then i have not had a problem.

The only other PCI/e device I have is a 1394 FireWire card. I will post what I find out Thanks

So I had removed the firewire card for testing and we started to stream today and all was fine for about 15 minutes. Our center camera started freaking out so we went back to RTSP streaming on both the cameras. After about 5 minutes the center camera stopped flashing for the rest of the day. We did about 3 hours of streaming between 2 services and it did not do it again. The bad thing is now I dont trust either card to perform well. Ughhh!

So just to recap. I did nothing other than remove the fire-wire card. We had issues 2 times after that. Now the this past Sunday and Weds it worked fine. No glitches at all. I hate problems that come and go for no reason. I am really confused as to why it did this. Ughhhh!

Just a random thought - if the building has 3 phase power - are the cameras and PC on the same phase? I have seen issues in the past (in analogue days) where strange timing and sync issues were caused by devices being on different phases.

Another thought. If you have a problematic ground on your motherboard, it may be creating interference with the clock timings of the HDMI signal. Perhaps removing the card shifted things around.

Yes we do have 3 phase power there. Since the problem went away (for now) I will assume it is not that. The grounding issue on the motherboard is an interesting thought. HDMI timing signals are easily disrupted. I will look further into that. It went flawless again this weekend. Thanks for all the suggestions. I really appreciate it.
