Just spent a week streaming an event daily. The last few days of the event when we had six cameras set up we wanted to stream in 720 to Facebook per their specs but after test sending 720 hd to Facebook it only streamed the 720 settings in SD. So we switched back to save on data charges as their was no difference in the quality over the SD stream we had been sending.

I have read in the forums it may be a Facebook api issue, but am I missing something in my settings, or is anyone else getting the same results?

HD 720 - 1280x720 30fps @ 2500 kbps - Codec h.264 Profile: Main Keyframe: 2 Seconds Audio: 96 AAC STEREO

BTW we are using the latest version of vMix 4K.

We are having the same results. We stream at 720P but if I try to download it is always SD now. It never used to be that way. Only for about the last 8 -9 months. We record at the same time as we stream to alleviate any issues and get better quality.

Thanks,
I also do a HD recording to a ATOMOS Ninja so I have a high quality version on HD.

I guess we will keep streaming in SD until facebook starts supporting 720p via vMix again. No need to waste expensive data charges that I have here in Canada.

Did you try with the custom RTMP settings for Facebook?

Thanks,
Have not tested that yet, but will do that this week to confirm it is the api.
