I have two vMix licenses.
One 4K (installed on my computers), one Basic HD (installed on my wife's computer).

The license agreement says that a license should not be used on more than two computers.

Does this mean that:
a. it should not be installed on more than two computers, and only run on one computer at a time?
b. it can be installed on more computers, and run on a maximum of two computers concurrently?

For example, when I do a show, I am on my computer with a 4K license and my wife Lauren is on her computer with a Basic HD license.

I would like to bring her in via a direct vMix to vMix video call (instead of the current NDI capture of her cameras), but as mentioned in the Feature Request area, she cannot join my call with her Basic HD license.

So can I install my 4K license on her computer as well and run it at the same time as the 4K license on my machine? The only time both vMix instances would be active is when we are connected together to produce one show.

If not, then I will continue to just have the Basic HD license on her machine, and hope vMix will consider letting her Basic HD license connect directly to my session.

I want to make sure that I am compliant with the intent and fair use of the licenses I have purchased.

Thanks,
Alan Z.

It means option 'a.'.
The second installation is just a backup for the first.

From the knowledgebase:
Quote:
Each license can be installed on up to two PCs or Laptops in total as long as vMix is not being used on both at the same time.

Hi Alan

for a vMixCall, you need to upgrade your BasicHD licence to HD, as Ovinas explained, you cannot use your 4K licence on 2 computers simultaneously

Thanks for the clarification.
I will continue to lobby for the feature request I made to have a Basic HD session connect to a vMix call I initiate on my 4K session.
It's hard to justify another $260 for the upgrade just to be able to connect vMix to vMix.
