Hello Kane,

Will the NC1 Studio Input Module appear as inputs in vMix too?

Are those modules based on Windows, or a more stable proprietary OS?

Yes, vMix is compatible with all NDI software and hardware including the NC1.
(That is one of the great things about NDI, no need for us to specifically test each solution for compatibility, it just works!)

As for the NC1 software, I could be wrong but I believe it is running Windows 10 Embedded which is a locked down version of windows.

Hope this helps.

Martin

The NC1 IN is running Windows 10 Embedded (which is extremely stable). We recommend that you treat the box like an appliance, not a general purpose computer and not install other things on it or use it as your email or daily web browsing system. On any current computer operating system (Windows, Mac or Linux), stability problems aren't in the OS, but with the 3rd party drivers and applications that are installed on top of it.

All NDI works with all other NDI. Everyone is running the same NewTek DLL's in their application, so compatibility is 100% between system. Unlike other IP standards, you aren't dealing with different companies creating their own implementation of the standard and then needing to test to ensure that they work.
