Hi,
30% usage is because of compression and is unavoidable. You will need to upgrade to a faster CPU if it is causing issues. To refresh cameras, right click the camera and choose Restart Capture.

the problem is not directly the 30% cpu usage more, vmix (20% or 25%) + adobe flash media live encoder (30% or 35%) = 50% or 65% total, and some dropped frames. i want to stream for 4 rtmp addresses (3 lan, 1 internet), defining the quality of each one. With flash media live encoder i stream to only 2 addresses max (using rtmp address and backup).
about refresh capture button, i already try and thaks to implement that but i`m keep unable to make camera work back without click on last preset... the camera seems that switch off and switch on (and i can ear the default windows sounds). so, would be great if you can improve this button to make camera work again.
martin, sorry for my insistence, but it would be nice if you could implement a function to capture video sources individually. this will be very useful for many people working with video because there is no way to capture each individual video source with just one software. I know it's a lot involved, but this may be one of the strengths of vmix, no other do that. if you want someone to test a beta version i can do that for you (as you wish, of course)
regards and thanks for attention melody

1. Regarding streaming, each stream with different quality requires substantial CPU power to encode. If you will be using more than one stream, stream a good quality stream to a separate computer that is dedicated for the task. Of course you will need specialised enterprise streaming software to accomplish this, such as http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediastreaming/2. I will investigate what is possible, however I recommend sorting out the connection issue directly as it looks like the cable may have some signal loss. 3. If there is sufficient demand this will be considered for a vMix Professional edition. Cost would be at least $1000 USD. A very high end machine would be required. Regards, Martin vMix

1. today is not so dificult to upgrade a machine (depending on hardware) and if would be possible for you to implement that in vmix maybe some video directors would thank you for that.
2. at this time i realy need this long cable to do my production, i realy know that the cable distance is so big and it can have some signal loss (i admit it) for that reazon a refresh source solution is very important to a realtime production.
3. martin, you`re great... a lot of people will thank you about that, realy. this feature will be very apreciated. if you will implement that in vmix, can you tell us about a recomended desktop to work with that feature?
martin, i realy apreciate your attention, you can count on me with some tests on vmix with my desktop, as you want.
regards, able to help you martin to make vmix a better software. melody
