Any AJA 4K IO users in this group? If so, I'm trying to figure out how to configure mine to give me 3 SDI inputs and 1 HDMI input for my vMix 19 beta laptop setup. When I try to select an HDMI input on one of the AJA 4K IO camera input settings, I get nothing. Any advice?

What does AJA Io 4K Control Panel indicate for the HDMI input and output? Is the same video frame rate being input to match the 3 SDI inputs?

I have some doubts that you can use a 3 SDI and 1 HDMI input set up, though I hope I'm wrong and someone has done it with the Io 4K.

It looks like I can configure the AJA 4K IO control panel to make Channel 1 the HDMI input channel, but I was not getting a good input signal showing (just noise) in vMix when I configured it that way, although my Ch 2 & 3 SDI were working correctly.

I'll correct myself. You should be able to do that. The problem I'm having is the HDMI video signal is not stable. The image is jittery. I've tried two (2) different cameras with no improvement.

Why don't you use a HDMI2SDI converter if this Aja box likes SDI better?

Of course this is an option if it's the only way to work it, but I was hoping for a streamline solution. I don't have time now to work on this problem now but will probably address it again in a week or so after I finish a major project I'm currently working on. I'll follow up with my findings and possible solution then. Thanks for everyone who has responded so far.

The easiest is to make SDI 1 your output, then SDI 2,3,4 as inputs.

Go to Settings (top right corner of the UI), then click on the External/NDI Outputs and under device select AJA io 4k, then port select SDI 1, then hit OK.

The next step is to go to Add Input and select Camera, then under Camera select AJA io 4k and Input select SDI 2 and then repeat for SDI 3 & SDI 4.

Hope this is helpful
