Hi,
I'm just playing with the Basic version, and I'm confused.
I have two video clip inputs.
The same event filmed from different angles.
I had assumed that I could start both inputs at once and then mix between the two.
However, when I fade from input 1 to 2, the first stops and the second starts, meaning that they cant be kept in sync.
Is this normal system behaviour?
Am I missing something or does this feature exist in one of the other versions?

Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve,

you can set the behaviour in the settings of the input. Just click the i button and then select the tabs you want; pauze automaticaly with transition, start automatic etc. When you set this correctly the clips will keep running and you can mix them they way you want.

greetings,
Stefan

Thanks Steve

Yes, choose one input as the "master", who will start the other inputs simultaneously, and possibly act as your audio source.

In the Properties Window of each input (click the little "i" icon) > General tab > turn off "Auto Restart" and "Auto Pause", and turn on "Auto Play".

In the Properties Window of the "master" input > Multi View tab > Set the overlay dropdowns to the other inputs. Click Position > Pan X, and move them offscreen.

Now, when you Quick Play the master input, the "off-screen overlays" will start simultaneously, because they are tied to the master.

Switch between viewing angles as you normally would.

Very helpful.
I would never have worked that out from the user guide.
Many thanks
