Hello everyone, I'm thinking to use youtube event streaming for my ip camera but i have a big problem: if the isp go down, or the computer get black out for lightnings, or for maintenance the streaming go down and it's impossible to restart it. Do you know something to bypass the bug?
Thank you. Al.

Hi Pagu
it's possible to get redundancy for everything. However it costs money...
You can get 2 ISPs for 2 internet connections with a router providing failover switch. You can get an UPS for power outage. You can get multiple encoders to avoid a streaming interruption. etc...
But you should also consider your IP camera could stop working for some reason...
If you've got the money it's possible to solve all these issues. But is it worth ?

Hello Guillaume, thank you for reply. On youtube i see a lots of webcams start since 1 or 2 years ago. i think they use a server or something like that, and if the signal go down they write or show "temporany unvailable" what do you think about this?

Yes. I know webcams working for at least 10 years (especially those for weather or those for seaside resorts or surf spots for instance...) It doesn't mean they work 24/7 for 10 years without maintenance or even replacement. There are moments where the signal is not available. It's not difficult to broadcast such a message in case it happens. If your project is to broadcast a webcam 24/7 (I think you already mention this before), I'd choose an IP camera like a security camera from Axis for example: https://www.axis.comThey have an internal RTMP encoder, are designed to work 24/7 and can receive power by the ethernet cable (POE) which also connect them to the internet.

Hello, yes they camera have a rtmp inside but it's impossible add moving logo or others things. I think all youtube users that have a 15 20 webcams around the city or country have a icloud system or something like that.

If you need to add a logo, you can use an encoder like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/...-Broadcast-/262721536036It's much cheaper than using a computer and it brings some features to personnalize the stream Other models available: http://stores.ebay.com/u8visionThere are many others brands providing quite the same equipments, look for "RTMP/RTSP encoder" If you prefer and have a budget, you can go for a streaming server in the cloud. Check Wowza for instance : https://www.wowza.com/But it costs much more every month, you are responsable for the setup and the maintenance. This requires knowledge and time. Guillaume

Try Camoverlay for Axis cameras. It's a plugin for most Axis cameras. Streaming to YouTube with Axis cameras the plugin Camstreamer is needed. For YouTube streaming use "Stream Now" if you get a break in the internet connection it will not close the stream.
