It would be awesome if we could load a video, and select an in and outpoint for it's playback. Would be cool if this could happen in the preview window (like in an NLE)

Some cases where it could be useful:

Shoot an movie right before the show: select the best take with in and out points without rendering or NDI from premiere.

Loop a small portion of a movie.

Use a video file, and play back different parts of it during a show

Hi,

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that already possible?

When you right click on the scrubber under the video, you can set your in and out points.

Rudy is correct, and any triggers applied respect the in and out points.
