I not a vMix user but I watch Tom Sinclair show. I thougt it can be useful when you have one input/frame in use and decide only replace the subjets, pictures or videos.
thanks 1 user thanked Milton Dias for this useful post.

I am a user, and I'd LOVE that. I have inputs with 4-8 transitions, and several Multiviews for panel discussions, that can be a real bear to recreate. I would LOVE to be able to right-click Duplicate and just change the positions of the callers.

My current process in recreating these for different clients is to create a complicated Multiview, save, close vMix, open the *.vmix file, find the line that defines and Multiview and copy it as many times as I need for the new setup, applying a new name for each. It's a little... annoying, that I can't copy it without exiting the program.

To go a bit further, it'd also be nice to be able to right-click and have option to "Copy Triggers".

Thanks for requesting this.

Being about to duplicate a input would be very useful. We set up many inputs which have the same multiview inputs each with certain positions and crops that need to be setup each and every time. Being able to duplicate the input would save a lot of time.

Am I missing something here?

How is this different from creating a "Virtual Copy" of an Input?
(right click cog wheel)

No need to duplicate inputs in order to change the layout of multiviews, no need to create multiple multiviews.

Check this demo videos where I explain how to switch within multiviews (which can be done without a midi controller btw)
