I'm looking at the USB device "Elgato Game Capture HD60" and interested in using it with vMix. However, on the compatibility page only the "Elgato 60S" is mentioned specifically, not the "Non-S" version, will the version I'm looking at work?

The "Elgato Game Capture HD60" is not on the vMix Supported Hardware/Video Capture Hardware list. It is USB 2.0, not USB 3.0. Perhaps someone has gotten it to work with their system, but it might not work 100% of the time with yours. If you haven't bought it yet, spend the extra $31 (Amazon) and get the Elgato HD60S, which is on the Supported Hardware list. The HD60S also feature a USB 3.0 interface. You'll know it's supported by vMix. You may want to check out this post. https://forums.vmix.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=5951

Thanks for the reply
I have no issue with buying the S model, what through me off was it advertised having a USB Type C connection, which I don't think my PC has. My PC does have a standard USB 3.0 though. Is the USB C only on the device end, can I use it with a regular USB 3 port?

Just watched an unboxing video, the Elgato Game Capture HD60 S connects with USB-C on the Device end, and Standard USB 3.0 on the PC end. This device will work fine for my needs and I will be purchasing it since it is listed as compatible.
Resolved
Thanks!
