Hello there,
I recently bought an HP Elitebook 8440P and install the trial version of Vmix (version 9). I can see any camera that is attached to the laptop, but when I select them, even though they are accepted by Vmix, I do not have any video on the screen, all screens are blank, but I can hear the sound from the video. When I use Flash Media Live Encoder it works fine, I have both sounds and video from the same sources.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Lots of things to check, but let's try something easy: Under Settings > Performance, change the Video Renderer to "EVR" (Enhanced Video Renderer). Also, what video chip is in that laptop?

Also make sure you have latest gfx drivers and directx components.

Thanks guys for all your assistance. I changed the Video Renderer to "EVR" but did not do the trick. I check my video chip and it is "intel HD graphics" I do not know if that you were asking for. Macjaeger, can you tell me how to find the gfx drivers and directx components?
Thanks again!

Intel HD graphics are the built in gpu-cores of intel i5 / i7 cpus. Drivers should be found at intel download center (http://downloadcenter.intel.com), or via windows update. Notebook manufacturers usually supply a cd/dvd with drivers for all chipset components as well.

Are you seeing the blank video for just the cameras or for videos added into vMix as well?
If it is just the cameras then you will need to make sure the resolution selected in vMix for the camera matches what is supported.

Hello Jwolthuis, macjaeger and Martin,
Thank you all for your help. Everything is working now fine for me. I upgraded Windows 8 and it fixed the graphic driver problem that I had.
Again thank you all for you support and directing me to the solution.
