Hello,

there is many situation (for example splitscreen, slow crossfades, etc) when we use more than one source in the PGM output. In this case we need to send a tally signal to more than one source. With the actual API this is not possible. Is there any workaround for this? We really need this feature, it's works well with the ATEM mixers, but I prefer the VMIX because of the flexibility. I hope the developers are hear this wish... :)

Thank you!

Hi!

maybe you can support this feature request here : https://forums.vmix.com/....aspx?g=posts&t=9620

Activators and tally lights are related things.

Thanks
Guillaume

Thank you for your reply, It's done. :)

I think for a bigger projects this feature is really needed. But as I know well, actually this is an API limitation. But again, for us this is a very common situation, and one tally signal for one source is a real pain...

@ pba

How are you distributing or delivering your Tally signals?
Because the web tally system seems to work for me on any and all Inputs within a MultiView Input...

The big question is: if there is a split screen effect in PGM out (for example with input1 and input2) can you send on-air tally signal both for input1 and input2 at the same time? I think it's not possible with the actual API. But please correct me if I'm wrong...

With the web tally (smart phone wifi) this has always worked for me. All Inputs within a MultiView are properly tallied when either in Preview or Program and I can only assume it would be the same for any Tally system configured to work with vMix Tally Lights.

Checking the tallies in the web controller with overlays, multiview and split screen transitions all seem to work as expected with multiple layers.

Thank you, I will double check the things, probably this was my mistake...
