Hello,
I am using Google to translate and may not express it clearly, sorry!
I am producing a program signal in the United States for the production of Hong Kong.
I envisioned:
Video: 1920 * 1080 60P 8M.
Audio: 144khz 168kbps, Contains 2-3 channels of audio.
1 channel audio (CLEAN PGM), this is used to make Chinese programs.
2 channel audio (PDtalk), the director in Hong Kong needs to hear the call between the director of the US scene.

I plan the way to transfer it to youtube in USA, RTMP in Youtube in Hong Kong,
I do not know if VMIX can push the two channels of audio (Clean PGM and PD Talk), can VMIX read 2 channels of audio separately?

I may be able to express so that you can not understand, sorry, you can contact me!

Hi Lem

if I understood it well, you want

- make a production in the USA
- stream it directly to YouTube
AND
- stream it to Hong Kong with RTMP with 2 separate audio channels (the program audio + the director's audio)

Right ?

I don't think it's possible to have more than 1 stereo audio channels for output with vMix.

But you can stream to YouTube and Hong Kong with normal RTMP (with production audio) AND have a vMixCall in between the States and HK for the control room audio for example

Would it suit your needs ?

As far as I'm aware, vMix can decode up to 4 stereo channels (= 8x mono) embedded in a SDI input (via a Magewell or Blackmagic card), but on the output side there is no multi-channel audio routing into an SDI output (via a Blackmagic card), just Ch 1+2 stereo.

You could possibly feed vMix's A and B audio bus outputs to physical soundcard (analogue) outputs and then use a hardware SDI audio embedder to add them (as Ch 3+4, or 4+5) to the SDI video + audio generated by vMix.

Hi Martin (zenvideo)

I think the problem is to send 2 separate stereo audio channels to Hong Kong in a single RTMP feed, one for the production + one for the director.
I don't know the terms in english, but in French we say:

- signal noble (noble signal) : the production audio
- signal d'ordre (order signal) : the control room or intercom audio

Can you tell me the english words for this ?

My original plan is:
3 RTMP streaming media,
RTMP A: Clean PGM + stereo channel (normal Chinese program production)
RTMP B: Clean PGM + PD talk, although there are RUNDOWN, I am worried that the scene accident occurred, need to know the live PD call.
RTMP C: PGM + right channel

While transmitting three RTMP will appear different delay, I can not avoid.
So I imagine: 3 computers using VMIX to read the same RTMP signal, respectively, to collect three RTMP inside the audio.
I have purchased a large number of VMIX software and BMD / AJA capture card.

It is still not very clear but

if you want to stream 3 different RTMP feeds with different audio you will need at least 1 vMix + 2 others encoders (like other vMix or OBS, or FFMPEG...) and certainly more than a single computer.

You cannot have separate audio in a single stream : it will all be mixed down to stereo. You can just do 2 mono channels : Left and Right. Maybe it's ok for you.

I still believe vMixCall could be a good option for you as it allows to route different audio from PGM and audio quality in vMix call is as good as in RTMP)

Hi Lem

did you find a solution?

I just updated OBS Studio on one of my computers and realized that "apparently" OBS allows to use up to 6 independent audio channels for streaming.

CAUTION! I have never tested this, I'm not even sure it works or if it is compatible with all RTMP streaming servers, but maybe this is something worth investigating for your project.

After 2nd thought, if your plan is to feed vMix with RTMP streams, remember that vMix only accepts RTMP streams with stereo audio. There is no way to dissociate several audio channels from a single stream in vMix AFAIK.

HI, DAWN, thank you for your answer. Recently my work is too busy, no time to answer you, sorry! OBS studio some of this feature, over time I will try. I have used VMIX to capture SDI signals and then output them to OBS to RTMP. (OBS directly captures SDI signals is not very good! OBS image processing is not as good as VMIX). Hong Kong upload RTMP, the United States to receive the signal is not very good, will affect the quality of live programs, I tried VMIXCALL transmission program signal and PD Talk, VMIX screen often stop. I tried to upload signals to YOUTOBE, the United States to receive the signal, and occasionally will stop the situation!
