Hello, guys!
We are doing football matches production on Vmix. Basically we use 4-5 cameras, but on big games we enlarge production up to 8 cameras via Decklink Quad 2.
For recording replays from each camera now we use 2 PC's. First machine for switch cameras and create replays from 4 cameras. Second machine only for replays. And then there are two ways to send replay signal from 2nd PC - via NDI or Quad 2 output.
It's not convienient because our staff is small. And usually 1 director try do a job on 2 PC's at same time.
Is there any chance to add even 2 inputs in Instant Replay?
Thanks a lot for your answer.

I asked this question to vmix support, and here is an answer: Quote:We will investigate adding additional channels to replay as faster CPUs are released. At the moment the fastest CPU for use with replay, the Intel 7700K works well with 4 channels only.

Hi Guys,
I need to build a video referee system with 8 inputs and I am considering using 2 vMix machines, each of them with 4 inputs. The purpose is to show to the referee the replay of a certain action from up to 8 angles. What I am missing is a tool to control both machines with a single jog/shuttle remote control. Any idea in this respect?
Thank you, Claudiu

Hello, This will probably not work with Jog / Shuttle. You can try it with the mouse and this tool. - mouse without borders- Download here. Demo here.Greeting

Thank you elvis55, unfortunately Jog/Shuttle is a must:(. The system will be used by a referee and he has to have the possibility to use the jog wheel in order to view the replay frame by frame forward and backward ...

Mouse?? : The mouse scroll wheel can be used at any time in the following ways: With Shift key pressed: Slow down or speed up playback With Ctrl key pressed: Move backwards or forwards one frame at a time. With Alt key pressed: Move backwards or forwards one second at a time. https://www.vmix.com/hel....htm?ControlOptions.html

I searched this topic and found this thread from two years ago
Has there been any update on whether or not vMix intends to increase the number of inputs for Instant Replay?
We use a Decklink Quad 2 and would love to utilise all 7 of our cameras for Replay
Cheers, Blake

You probably need to create a separate control app on a third PC that sends the same signal to both PCs. You could use the third PC to show with NDI the feed of both PCs so the referee can switch the angels of view.

I know this should have probably been posted in feature requests, but since it is da direct reply I'd rather post it here. Feel free to move it, though.
We are using two licenses of vMix Pro controlled by companion for having more than 4 channels of replay (two vMix instances running on two separate pc's). It is working fine as long as the replay operator is not using the mouse for selecting / deleting events, as there is no way (no command) of getting to know the event involved.
If there was a command for script use (via companion) it would already be possible to have more than 4 channels of replay.
cheers, Knut
