I am trying to use a PreSonus Faderport which has several buttons on it and a single audio fader and I have tried to map that to the audio level for a camera microphone through the use of a Shortcut but I am unable to get it to work. This unit is one I am just borrowing from a friend as I am more interested in getting something like a Behringer X-Touch USB controller which has 8 motorized faders found here at this link https://www.bhphotovideo...sal_control_surface.html I am wondering if perhaps this PreSonus may just not be compatible with Vmix as a MIDI controller or maybe I am setting it up wrong. Should I proceed with the Behringer purchase? Any advice on how these types of music devices work to control the level of multiple camera audio sources?

Following that video was easy and I was able to get my faderport fader to control the T-bar in Vmix with no problem however getting it to control the volume level of a camera does not seem to work.
Key/Control is set to MIDINoteON Channel 1, Note 0, I have tried various values on the Value field Function is set to Set Volume I have selected a camera input next The value input box I have tried having that empty as well as entering 0-100
I have successfully mapped buttons on the faderport to Mute/Unmute for example and it works fine. I just can't get the fader to move the volume control up and down on the camera input in vmix
