Hello
Thank You and Nithyanandam,
I wanted to push 3 full HD streams with one system (possibly up to 8 full HD streams)
How do I do this please?
I wanted one stationary streaming workstation (desktop) and one mobile laptop.
What specs do I need pls?
Please share about this as I may also be building an entirely new streaming setup.
Currently we stream vMix to our website and 2-3 instances of FlashME to feed youtube, facebook, and a private stream.
Thank you.

Hi
you have 3 options
1 . is to use a re-stream services like switchboard, restream or equivalent
2 . is to use an nVidia Quadro card which have the ability to encode multiple streams at the same time on the GPU. Along with vMix (up to 3 streams) and external encoders like OBS or FFMPEG directly, you should be able to define 5 to 10 ingestion points.
3 . is to use external hardware encoders through an HDMI splitter for example
Hope this helps Guillaume

Not sure if it would work for you or not... But here is my workflow to push to 4 or 5 locations. 1. I get 2 HD feeds from remote Teradek Bond 2's. 2. I mix the show with Vmix at my home studio (300x20 connection) 3. I push the main feed to a Wowza server that I have hosted in the cloud at AWS. ($65/month + data + time) I do start and stop the server when not in use. 4. Wowza is setup to push to 4 or 5 remote locations all at once.
I will note that at NAB, Teradek announced that it's Core system may to 3rd party transcoding. And that could eliminate the costs of the Wowza server in my future.

Hi,
that's cool.
we are also going to look into using teradek for our mobile shows.
OTHERWISE: what about Mac vs. PC? - we wanted to run Windows on the highest Macbook Pro for vMix. - is there any slow down on the thunderbolt ports when running windows on the Mac? - is there any stability problems running windows on mac? - can vMix push a stream and playout videos onto an LED wall simultaneously? - how do CPU cores, RAM, and CPU Speed factor into streaming performance or vMix performance if using external hardware streaming devices.? - and how do graphics cards figure into vMix performance versus streaming rate?
thanks so much, we're learning all this stuff :) -
