I do video production for large music festivals. I have one that requires 2 remote jumbotrons at 3000 feet away from the production truck. i don't want to run the fiber so I'm thinking I could use a UBIQUITY wireless bridge and place a vmix system in each remote location. I would have the remote vimix systems access the base vmix output and display that on the remote jumbotron screens. Anyone done vimix over wireless bridge? Thoughts?

Yep but it all depends on which signal protocol you intend to use. For high quality I think NDI is the minimum requirement, so I think you need airfiber solutions at least. Don't know the cost but suspect fiber is less expensive.

I already did it, NDI works great with nanostation m5. Tested it over 300 meters.

Did either one of you have any problems with existing WiFi networks near your location? I've done some short range tests but never near a facility or a campus that would have a WiFi network. I wondering if a link would cause interference problems for either the link or the existing network.

No, I Had no issue's My locations tested where several Race tracks ( 1/2 mile away from each AP) and a couple of Hockey Arena's that only have 2.4 Ghz on site. SportsNetUSA.net wrote:desmar, Ittaidv,

While NDI would look better, these are Jumbotrons. Seen from a distance. Not viewed critically.
I'd be inclined to try a vMix Call. The lower bandwidth requirements might make for a more forgiving setup over a wireless link.
Incidentally, back in the day, when SkyDome was first built, I edited some of the video that was displayed on the ultra-wide Jumbotron (or was it DiamondVision?) in that facility. It was a crazy wide aspect thing because it had to fit along the rim of the roof.
It was actually three displays side-by-side. The source video was fed into a trio of hacked Abekas DVEs. Each extracted the 1/3 of the stream for its associated display.

I tested in a very big festival, no problems with wifi interference at all, perhaps I was lucky? I set them up on a 7 meter pole and on top of a stage, pointing directly at each other.
