Is is possible to have the audio transition at a later time than the image ?

If I have a show intro, I would like the audio/music from the intro-video to continue/overlap into the next image for a more seamless mix... ?
I know it is possible to set audio mix to manual. But it would be nice to keep the auto-mix, just also be able to set different transition points for audio and video.

Don't know if this make sense ? .. hopyfully someone understands my request :-)

I have vmix HD

Hi

You can separate audio from your video to get 2 files and then trigger the audio file when the intro video starts.
This way you can have the audio playing independently till its ending and switch any inputs on top.

Hope this helps

Another solution is to play the intro video and to overlay next switch on top this intro input. 2 options: multiview or fullscreen overlay (buttons 1 to 4)

I was having the same issue where I wanted to play an intro video but cut over to the main camera but continue to play the music and fade it out after a few seconds. The issue I was having was every time I switched to the main camera view the video / audio would just stop making it look non-professional..

Steps I took.
- made my Intro video an Input
- In the settings of the new Video input there is a option to not stop the video / audio when your transition away from the input.. I selected this and that solved my problem.

I apologize as I don't have my Vmix in front of me right now so I can't look at the exact settings. Let me know if you need more info and I can answer when I get back home to my Vmix computer.

Cheers!

@ lasse

This topic has surfaced several times and there are a number of available options depending on your specific requirements:

https://forums.vmix.com/....aspx?g=posts&t=6838
https://forums.vmix.com/....aspx?g=posts&t=7186
https://forums.vmix.com/....aspx?g=posts&t=8388

If I understand you correctly, I would look into the "Triggers" option for 'automation'.
Hope that helps some.
