Hey All,

I recently bought a Telstra 4GX Prepaid Pocket WiFi Modem ZTE MF910V as part of a live video-streaming kit.

We stream from inner city Melbourne and speed tests suggest we're getting at least 15mps up.

Despite this, I am unable to video-stream anything higher than 480p. Anything above 500kps causes the stream to cut out. Even increasing sound quality from 96kps to 128kps is enough to tip it over the edge.

We're streaming with VMix, to Facebook (no variable bit-rate involved).

Anyone have any ideas?

I did a speedtest:

Theoretical I should have 50mbps upload, in fact I have only 9mbps. Just did a stream to YouTube: 1080P, 25FPS, 4.5mbps, 128k MP3... works like a charm. I normally stream 500kbps because I have limited data, and the stream is just for fun!

I use my phone as mobile hotspot/tethering. My location is in The Netherlands...
