We had our first live stream using vMix the other weekend. Originally we used Livestream Studio but we soon found that to be very limited. So check out our first stream! Had someone on their end punching in data to Google Sheets for the scoreboard. Had everything running off the X-Keys 128 controller. Have since bought a Korg nanoKontrol2 mixer and the ShuttlePRO v2 so keen to give them a try. Towards the end of the stream when the grand finals are on is where I worked up the courage to start using replays, so that's the most interesting part if you want to have a little watch.

@ TrentisN
Nice Job! Looked to be 5 cameras, how long were your runs to the OB Van? The biggest criticism I could note was the colour differences among the various cameras, which to me, again points to the need for vMix to add some tools to better adjust such differences more easily. It might have been nice as well to have a few more close-ups of the athletes from your secondary cameras, although this requires greater skill from your operators to follow the action as well as good communication from the director. All-in-all though, it was a very impressive broadcast for your first with vMix, well done.

@IceStream Yeah we had 5 different cameras and we tried to set them up to look as similar as possible but as soon at the light changes all of the cameras react differently. And we've had that issue with other streams as well, really need to find an affordable broadcast camera with SDI output. We have the 4K XD Cam and there is a HD version for half the price but it doesn't have SDI out! We had some work experience people operating the cameras as this was a sort of 'proof of concept' stream for the Volleyball that we did for them at our cost. @curtismacd31 They were all different cameras! We had a Sony FS5 for the wide, XD Cam for left court, Sony Handycam for right court, GoPro on the crane (looked funny) and an older Panasonic for the commentators / roaming camera. @Digitalson There's a little write up on our site about the OB Here with a few pictures also. The the FS5 and XD Cam were coming in from SDI which I think were about 60m. The Handycam only outputs HDMI so we had that running into an Atomos Inferno to use as a review monitor and also convert it to SDI. The GoPro and and Panasonic were coming in wireless. Thanks everybody for the feedback! This is a good community.
