It will be good to have frame precise controls of video inputs (next/prev frame buttons).

Hi Alex
compressed video formats don't allow this. They use keyframes and GOP structures with i-frame, p-frame, etc to allow high compression ... So not all frames are "real" in a GOP and thus cannot be used as reference frames.
If you absolutely need this, convert your videos to intermediate codec formats like IntraAVC, ProRes or DNxHD, etc...

When using a contour ShurtlePro V2 it's possible to Jump frames back and forth with the jogwheel as default. It's also possible to use the Shortcut ReplayJumpFrames for a button

@DWAM, that's not even about frames.
vMix video position trackbar minimum step is one second. What if I need to put in/out point somewhere at 1.5s or 1.25s or so on? I need push play button, than push pause and maybe I push pause button in the right moment) Next/Prev frame buttons make it a bit simplier.

+1 for that request! stigaard wrote:When using a contour ShurtlePro V2 it's possible to Jump frames back and forth with the jogwheel as default. In another topic (with basically the same request) DWAM provides a discruption of some of the technical challenges with frame precision. Even so, I still think that jumping to Key frames, and better precision that what is currently available would be really useful. Perhaps I should mention this concerns long videos, where the slider becomes too unprecise. Thanks.

There are certainly situations and scenarios where a more accurate choice of start and stop points in addition to a scrub feature (both forward and reverse) would be beneficial, and I am most definitely in favour of such if it is technically possible (so + 1 for that, but as mentioned above, there are challenges and possible tradeoffs). But it is not necessarily a "must have" for me (I have my NLE for that level of precision when required through editing). In a "Live Production Environment", I find the proximity of vMix's ability to be "good enough" on most occasions. Just my thoughts.
