From the Datavideo website: The RMC-260 is a cost effective remote controller designed specifically for the SE-1200MU Digital Video Switcher. My guess is that they won't make the control codes readily available to competitors. I could be wrong though....

If I were to connect the panel in question to my computer via an serial to usb adapter wouldn't the computer be able to read the the serial data from the panel if one pressad a button? Couldn't the serial data then via software be converted/interpreted to/as key strokes?

I'd welcome any input or thoughts surrounding my pondering concerning whether or not a computer would be able to read the serial data from the panel in question. I do realize that we at this moment do not know if it even will be activated if it is simple "plugged in" a computer. Is this were those control codes that "ask" referred to comes into play?

Njastad Webshop just ordered one of these controller, and the goal is to have a software for convertion to vMix ready soon!
EDIT: This will only require a RS232 port or a USB to RS232 adapter, and our convertion software
