Having some trouble getting Power Points to load.
Power Point 2000 is installed on the system. But, every time I load a ppt file I get an error dialog with this.
PPV_NEW
AddNewInput.PPV_NEW
Public member 'DisplayAlerts' on type 'Application' not found.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
I have tried loading just a single basic frame with same results.

Hi Ed,
PowerPoint 2003 or higher is required.

Well we installed PP 2007 and still not working.
Getting this error.
PPV_NEW

Unspecified error (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004005 (E_FAIL))

Now it's just getting weird, some times the ppt file will load and sometimes it will not.
When it doesn't open I get that same error.

Would be nice if there was a template with proper settings to use as a guide.
I know it's something in my settings but the help file doesn't list requirements accept for static slides.
Thought I had it, But no.
Sometimes the same file will load and if you close it then try to reload it will not come in.
HELP!!

Hi Ed,
Do you have powerpoint open at the same time? That can usually cause issues, especially if the same ppt is open there as well.
Also try both the 32bit and 64bit versions of vMix if possible, some versions of powerpoint only like one or the other.

Hi Martin,
Tried both VMix's and no luck. I'm not running PowerPoint at the same time.
Even tried making a single blank page project with no luck get the same error.
Is there some service running I should look for?
Don't know if it matters but, I only installed PowerPoint. None of the other programs that come with Microsoft Office.
Also I have been working with two machines. The first is a clients (local government office) the other here at my office.
Both give me the same results.

Hi Ed,
Just to confirm, does it fail to load all of the time on both computers or does it sometimes load on both?
There are two types of PowerPoint that can be installed, a downloadable version and one on CD, which one have you installed to these machines?

Since we are on the subject. It would be great if just installing the free Power Point play from Microsoft would work for this feature :-)
