Here is what I think will be the best vMix production laptop ever. http://www.frys.com/prod...573369?site=cemail040217heheh. It is a $75 Windows 10 machine BUT it has a touch screen. I am posting to find out is anyone using something like this as a web controller. This is way cheaper than an iPad and it has a touch screen. Is anyone using an inexpensive Android Tablet instead of a WIN 10 tablet? I would be interested to see how bad it chokes on vMix and if vMix desktop capture would even work on it. Thanks everyone for checking out my day after April Fools Day funny post. Rich Shumaker

@ RichShumaker
Looks similar to my ASUS Transformer Tablet (which is Android) and would likely work just as well as a web controller (although I don't usually use it as such, but I very easily could). In the end, it certainly appears to be an option, but at that price, you have to keep in mind the old adage "you get what you pay for".

Considered buying one of those, but it's limited by no Ethernet LAN port/RJ45. Ended up using my old Dell Core2 Duo. Can't imagine a computer running Win10 on 1GB of RAM.

Ice So true so true I am surrounded by ancient tech that I paid less for. Thanks Ice. Rich Shumaker

Ok I saw this post a while back and thought just for giggles I'll give ur idea a go.
I own a couple win 10 tablets so why not?
Loaded up the vmix trial vers. The tablets have onboard webcams but also decided to use my Logitech webcam (one on each tablet) via otg cables.
To my amazement this works, I get 2 switchable cameras that stream at 720.
Ok I'll never use this in a live scenario, but just for personal amusement with Google hangouts, Skype with friends etc. it's good enough.
A.
Ps. tried to use the Logitech cameras with ndi connect as a remote camera back to vmix over ndi. but wouldn't run the s/ware, I don't think the processor has the required capabilities to run any thing ndi.
PPs. Works ok as web controllers using web browser. Working over WiFi and using usb to ethernet adapter's but my tablets use the otg ports to also charge the battery so doesn't run for long.. but ok for short duration recordings /streams or WiFi only connections.
