When doing productions at different venues there are frequently issues with NAT and port forwarding for API commands.
It struck me that perhaps in a session between a vMix Host and a vMix Guest, API commands to the latter could be forwarded to the former via the WebRTC session.

One way to implement this would be that the Guest system is still controlled via port 8080, but commands sent on that system to port 8081 would be forwarded to the Host system, and picked up by vMix there. That is, vMix receives them via the WebRTC session. And vice versa, commands to 8080 on the Host system is picked up there, but 8081 is sent to the Guest system. And that the forwarding port number could be defined in a setting.
