Hi all,
I can use and select the vmix video source when making a skype call but how do I use the audio from vmix in the same skype call. The microphone input selector on skype does not display vmix audio output like the video setting does.....any help would be awesome.

The bottom line is that there is currently no vMix virtual audio output in the same way that there is a vMix virtual video output, hence other solutions are required (like using a 3rd party virtual audio cable).

In the past I have connected vMix to an audio conference bridge using a SIP soft phone. This allows me to have an audio only-audience that's fully interactive with the production. VB-Audio's VoiceMeeter Banana and Virtual Audio Cables provide the virtual audio devices and routing flexibility necessary to make this happen.
Further, I have run VoiceMeeter et al on another PC, using their VBAN mechanism to send/receive audio over IP. That lets me separate vMix from the more complicated VoiceMeeter setup. It's like NDI for audio.
That said, I think that the new vMix Call feature in release 19 beta effectively obsoletes the whole idea of using Skype or Skype for business for the purposes of adding a guest to a vMix production. The automatic mix-minus is for the guests is massively compelling.
It gets odd where considering audio-only participation using vMix Call. It's possible, even desirable. But you are limited as to how many vMix calls you can support. Also, you may end up passing video that you don't want to need.
