This has been brought up before. But I would like to make a feature request.

This is our situation also.

We have the same need to receive a stream from a contribution encoder. This could be a very big deal with more and more internet delivery systems out there.

A bump on this,
We have unicast streams that play fine, but need to read the multicast versions for a big project, I would hope that this would be fairly easy to add.

Here is an example test setup.


ffmpeg -rtbufsize 1500M -f dshow -i video="vMix Video":audio="vMix Audio" -vcodec h264_nvenc -flush_packets 0 -r 29.97 -filter:v fps=29.97 -rc:v cbr -b:v 10000k -pix_fmt yuv420p -bufsize 10000k -acodec aac -b:a 160k -f mpegts udp://192.168.1.100:1234?pkt_size=1316

to target vMix works great,

We need to see:

ffmpeg -rtbufsize 1500M -f dshow -i video="vMix Video":audio="vMix Audio" -vcodec h264_nvenc -flush_packets 0 -r 29.97 -filter:v fps=29.97 -rc:v cbr -b:v 10000k -pix_fmt yuv420p -bufsize 10000k -acodec aac -b:a 160k -f mpegts udp://226.0.0.1:1234?pkt_size=1316

This is a multicast.
