Currentry i'm streaming ice hockey on Youtube 720-50p @ 3.5Mbps with Vmix and the result is ok.
All the cameras can work 720-50p, 1080i and 1080-50p but due to long SDI cables I can run up to 1080i.

Will 1080i looks much better than 720-50p with replays?

To avoid artifacts I must activate blend interlace mode in decoder menu and switch Vmix resolution to 1080i. Right?

My advice is to stick to 720p50.

I would recommend 720p too.

Try to optimize your streaming encoding settings e.g. try to put pressure on the encoding by chosing high profile and slow encoding for better image quality.
The graphics card hardware encoding seems to do great (on NVidia AFAIK).

I suggest you 720p50! The progressive source is always better IMHO. Especially for the sport events, live concerts, etc.
