Problems opening Vmix16 file in Vmix18

Hello,

I have upgraded today my Vmix from version 16 to Version 18.
The problem is when opening my files saved in Vmix16, some the Desktop capture Inputs are blured and some of them are greyed out and If I switch to them I have black sreen.
If I close the inputs and Add them again in vmix18 they are OK until I save the file and open it again.
I have attached a screenshot.
Are there any compatiblity issues in files saved from v16 and v18?

Now I see some more problems. Two of my SDI inputs from BlackMagic Quad2 are black in v18. The audio is OK, just the image is black.
They worked Ok when opening the file in v16.
I tried resetting the Input - no luck. I tried removing them and adding them back to scene - no luck.
If I open a blank file and Add the inputs they are OK.

I've been working with technology for a LONG time and I have learned an important lesson.

NEVER use old config files on newer hardware/software versions, you are just looking for trouble, create them from scratch. SPECIALLY 2 verions apart like you are trying.

I NEVER restore my iPhone when I buy a new one, I always start from scratch, same with PABX's and all other things i've worked on over the years.\

(side note: Try opening the config in the new version of vMix then save it again as a new file, maybe that'll save it in the new version format? if it was me, don't do it.)

I have now downgrade from v18 to v17. And the Blackmagic is OK. Just the desktop capture is not good.
It is still blured and distorted.
The work from scratch is not an option. I don't think we retype a Word document of 100 pages if We upgrade MS Word from 2013 to 2016 for example.
It should be backward compatible.

This is what i get when I save the file and reopen it again. Same thing happens if I save it as a new file or existing.

Well, if can't make it work, and there is no other way around, then you must start from scratch :-)

Soon vMix 19 will be out, and you still want to use vMix 16? I recommend that you use the time it takes, and adapt your preset to the newest version. There has probably been alot of enhancements (also performance-wise) throughout the newest versions.
