its early and Im probably not thinking right yet....
Im using vMix to send AV to a Zoom webinar. The video is always there, using the External button and regardless of the external device setting. But I get no program audio.
Ive been playing with the vmix various external output settings and the audio out settings but nothing works. IF I plug an audio input into my PC audio in, I do get audio, but I have no control of it through vMix or the PC - and also this is no value if I have to play back file clips with audio.
I have played with the Windows 10 recording device console, but I only see the mic in, the 2 decklink cards and a line in I cannot enable.
Zooms audio settings let me select mic, system, or my Decklink cards. The first two are what will enable my PC audio in.
So I guess what I need to figure out is how to send the vmix audio output to the motherboard's default input device, which is probably the Realtek mic.
Ideas? Thank you.

Hi First you must solve the windows 10 audio issue before even trying to use vMix or bringing audio to Zoom. Audio problems are common with Windows 10. Here's a link you can check http://www.makeuseof.com...audio-issues-windows-10/When it works we can help you for the zoom part which is already discussed on the forum. Search for "bringing audio to Skype" for example which is the same situation. Guillaume

You may need to use one of those Virtual Audio Cable thingies to connect the vMix audio output to the Mic Input in Zoom. Take a look here: Good luck! - Tom

I do have audio playback when I test the speakers, either on the PC or in Zoom. Streams and recording have audio.
I will check your link but I would think this is a problem of either the system or vMix not identifying an audio output device, either driver based or virtual. That is, as no Recording Device is indicated that would correspond to vMix' output.
What is the normal AV flow from vMix; that is, with no ingest or output cards, wouldnt the windows default playback device handle the output audio?

Tom is right. vMix only sends audio to Windows' Playback devices. You can either take a physical cable from the PC (eg Speaker output) into a Recording device (eg Line input) that Zoom can recognize. Or use something like Virtual Cable. We use Voice Meeter Banana, works fine with Zoom.

Sorry I misunderstood what you meant by "IF I plug an audio input into my PC audio in, I do get audio, but I have no control of it through vMix or the PC"
So yes if audio is fine in Windows 10 and vMix, you only need a Virtual Cable

I am a new Zoom user. When I do Polycom Remote Desktop conferences, I don't have this audio issue - vMix handles/routes the audio fine.
