Here's what I am trying to do, but can't seem to be able to so far:

1) I am using vmix output to adobe
2) I want to get the picture out of my black magic card to my announcers tv for replays, however I can't because I am using my card also for my input for camera.

Can anyone tell me how I can set it so I can do it?

I get the can't connect to deck error message.

Blackmagic cards do not support simultaneous input and output unless you have the DeckLink Duo or Quad.
The single cards only have one chip in them that can be switched to input or output mode.

Martin,
Thanks for verifying that for me.

Any suggestions on how I can get the video out of the computer to the monitor for the replay guys?

Thanks,
Steve

if your graphics card has multiple outputs, you can use secondar output with vmix fullscreen. I am using this method at the moment.

I do have a second output (HMDI) and when I use it, they see exactly what I see on my monitor. I can't use vmix with a full screen because of all of the graphics that I have open for the game. What I am trying to do is record the game on my Hyper Deck and also share that output with the monitor.

Martin,
I spoke to BM Tech Support and using their program Media Encoder, I was able to use both the input and output at the same time.

I am also struggling with recording of the game. Seems like the quality is horrible compare to the actual production. Is there a way to record the HD verison of the game and not the output?

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,

The output you were seeing at the same time was just a pass through of the input.
This is the default mode on the cards when the output is not being used.

A mixed or processed output can't be sent at the same time.

Are you using the second output of your graphics card for something at the moment? You can set the second output to extended mode in Windows
so you can display the fullscreen output there.

Martin

Martin,
I now have a 2nd monitor and output, when I send up my 2nd monitor as an extended desktop, I can't seem to drag the full screen over there. I can only drag over the program, but that doesn't help me as I need to get to files on my main desktop during the game. Any suggestions on how to fix that?

Try changing the Output Screen in vMix Settings.
