Custom thumbnail for inputs

We use stingers and video overlay inputs that either have alpha channels or start off as dip from black. It would be helpful to be able to assign either a JPEG or PNG image as a thumbnail for the input or a single frame from the video as a thumbnail for the input instead of it being black. Ooo, I like that idea too.
Definitely have lots of black inputs I need to check the name of. Thumbnail would make finding things much easier.

we're using this with keying over black and animated lower thirds. All instarts and lower thirds start with black. So we have now a complete black interface.
It would be nice to set a thumbnail from one of the frames of the video or to upload a jpg/png.

+1 unless I missed it, I know you can do it for ptz and I think virtual input, we would use it to put instructions on the thumbnail

Still nothing.
Please add this to the top feature requests?
How do yall work with so many blank/black inputs?
All of my videos have fades, so 1st frame is useless.
